Dan MacKay:  Head Coach

Coach MacKay enters his second season as the Head Football Coach in Burlington.  In 2016 he was the defensive coordinator for Lexington High School, the Middlesex League Liberty division champions.  For the 2015 season he was the defensive coordinator at Lowell Catholic High School.  In 2014 he was a volunteer coach at Burlington High School and from 2006-2013 he was the freshman coach, varsity receivers and defensive backs coach, and varsity defensive coordinator at Billerica Memorial High School.  In 2009 Billerica won the Merrimack Valley Championship while Coach MacKay was the varsity receivers and defensive backs coach.  Coach MacKay played high school football at Billerica Memorial High School.  The team won the Division 1A Super Bowl his sophomore year (1999).  Coach MacKay holds the record for longest touchdown reception in school history (99 yards) and was also a first team all conference player his junior and senior seasons.  After high school Coach MacKay went to Trinity College where he played wide receiver for four years.  While at Trinity Coach MacKay helped the team win 30 games in a row.

Pat Magee:  Defensive Coordinator

Coach Magee enters his second season as the defensive coordinator, middle linebackers, and fullbacks coach.  Prior to this Coach Magee coached the freshman team for five years in Burlington and the varsity offensive and defensive lines at Lowell Catholic.  Coach Magee played his high school football in New Jersey where he started as an offensive lineman and played on a state championship team his senior year.  That team was also ranked #15 in the country by USA today.  

Kevin McDonough:  Offensive and Defensive Line

Coach McDonough will be entering his 12th season at Burlington High School.  He was the freshman coach for two years and has been a varsity assistant ever since.  Coach McDonough also played his high school football in Burlington starting as an offensive and defensive lineman his junior and senior years.  

Dan Murphy:  Receivers and Defensive Backs

Coach Murphy enters his second year as the varstiy receivers and defensive backs coach.  Prior to coaching in Burlington Coach Murphy was a varsity football coach at Minuteman Tech.  He is still the girls varsity basketball coach there.   Coach Murphy also played his high school football in Burlington where he played receiver and defensive back.  

Brent Loveless:  Running Backs and Safeties

Coach Loveless completed his first season with the program.  He played his high school football in Billerica where he started his junior and senior seasons at outside linebacker and running back.  Coach Loveless started at cornerback all four years at Framingham Stat University.  Previously he coached in Ashland, Billerica, and Danvers.  

Mike McCarthy:  Head Freshman Football Coach

Coach McCarthy enters his second season as the freshman coach.  Previously Coach McCarthy coached for ten years as the freshman football coach in Billerica.  He was also the girls Varsity basketball coach in Billerica for five years.  

Tom Brooks:  Assistant Freshman Coach

2019 will be Coach Brooks first year with the Burlington Football program.  He will be the defensive coordinator for the freshman team.  Before coming to Burlington Coach Brooks coached for five years in Billerica Pop Warner.  He was able to help the 2011 C team reach the eastern mass championship game as he coordinated the offense.  Coach Brooks has coached the middle school team in Nashua South for the past four seasons where he helped build the program into a playoff team.
